FERRETTI YACHTS 920
The yacht became an expected novelty, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the shipyard. In recent years, Ferretti Yachts has almost completely updated its lineup, from the younger FY 460. The flybridge FY 920, 93 feet long, has become one of the most interesting models in the line.
Even before the official premiere at the Cannes Yacht Festival last year, the innovative design of Ferretti Yachts 920 was discussed very much. Partner Ferretti Group - studio Zuccon International Project, with the engineering department of the shipyard successfully worked on the hull. With a yacht length of 28.4 meters and a width of 6.8 meters, this is the maxi-yacht that sets the tone for the entire new line. And on the other hand, the shipyard was able to embody in it extremely brave chips in terms of ergonomics and layout.
Ferretti Yachts 920 received a dynamic and recognizable design thanks to the design features that were tested on previous models FY 850 and FY 780. This boat is determined by new stylistic elements that distinguish it from the younger models.
FY 920 received new-generation portholes, and from the tinted side glazing stretches the line that surrounds the nose of the boat and visually divides the hull and top of the superstructure. The carved bulwark in the middle of the boat is complemented by chrome handrails. They, like, "cut" arrows into the tinted windows and open direct visibility through the side. The swift bow with an elegant guard rail is emphasized by a low sports superstructure. All these new stylistic elements indicate the transition of the FY 920 to the category of 30-meter yachts.
The aft part of the FY 920 meets one of the most interesting inventions of the shipyard - a submersible bathing platform. This system allows you to swing the garage door 90 degrees and drop below the water level to "flood" the garage and easily launch a 4 meter tender. Then the garage door rises in such a way that it becomes a beach club. As a result, the beach club can be "decomposed" at any time, and this size, which was not found previously on similar boats.
Exterior FY 920, especially the raised part of the deck in the bow. Thanks to such constructive innovations, we got an interesting al-fresco zone, which, along with the beach club, is a great addition to yachts of this size. Mattresses for sunbathing, a dinette equipped with two tables and sofas, an awning from the sun - and this is not a complete list of details of this zone. This lounge will be an ideal place not only during exciting sea voyages, but also during parking in the marina, when you really want to hide from prying eyes.
The stern of the main deck can also offer a variety of options for picking. For this zone are offered various sets from the Italian company Roda, whose vocation is furniture for open spaces. For example, it can accommodate both a classic sofa and a folding mattress with a back, which serves as a solarium, and is an additional sofa near the table.
The huge sliding mirror door separates the salon from the deck. Going inside, it becomes obvious that in Ferretti Yachts they worked hard to give the interior a luxurious look, but at the same time bring something fresh and unusual. Due to a larger space and even more refined finishing materials, the Art Nouveau style with Art Deco elements can be traced on the FY 920. Muted lighting, textured wall panels and low furniture give the space a unique modern look, without sacrificing the elegance that is so famous for any Italian interior.
In the lounge area is a soft corner of light gray leather. Coffee tables on forged legs with light marble tops are complemented with bronze and gold decor. In the depths of the salon there is a dining area for eight people - a large table with a table top made of gray salted glass and chairs, covered with a light coffee nubuck. All sources of light, as well as other communications covered with branded ceiling slats, designed by Ferretti Yachts. Panoramic windows and a light glossy ceiling help to fill all rooms with sunlight, creating a modern space. Light wooden panels with a texture of walnut contrast with a coal gray floor covering and wall panels with a trim under the skin.
A strong feature of the FY 920 is flexibility in terms of ergonomics and maximum practical use of space. Ferretti Yachts offers a version with four or five cabins, but without a significant logistics change. Simply put, all the corridors, staircases and the whole layout of the cabins remain unchanged, which means a good balance distribution and facilitating the production of the hull at the shipyard. This feature is fundamental for a yacht of this size.
The master cabin is located on the main deck in the entire width of the yacht. The bed of the bed is made in such a way that an illusion is created that the bed is floating in the air. "Squat" furniture enhances the feeling of the cabin volume, as it does not overlap views from the window. The full sized bathroom is somewhat recessed relative to the bedroom level. The stretched Antolini marble sinks seem to stand on the floor and seem to be monumental columns.
The geometric shapes of the room are emphasized by exquisite mosaics, brass fittings and plumbing, and due to the large number of mirrors and competent illumination, the space seems incredibly voluminous. Complementing the "kit" master-suite dressing table and full dressing room.
The lower deck implies several layout options: two VIP cabins, one of which is the full width of the deck, with roomy dressing rooms, and one standard suite with twin beds. In the four-cabin version, two VIPs are cut a little bit in size, and two standard suites are connected by a common bathroom.
In the center of the main deck is a kitchen equipped with modern Italian furniture Ernestomeda, combining stylish design, ergonomic shapes and functionality. The kitchen connects with the stairs for the crew and the captain's bridge and the compartment for the team. Thus, guest and adjacent areas are compactly placed.
Flybridge significantly "grown", it is also one of the three largest spaces on yachts of Ferretti Yachts of this class, in fact it stretches for two-thirds of the length of the hull. A solarium at the stern, a wetbar, a large table with a sofa create a huge social zone. Two independent tables can be combined into one large dining table thanks to the integrated elements in the counter. Carbon construction with an electrically controlled hardtop inside covers the central part of the deck, and the rear part can be protected by a tensioning top. The additional control panel facilitates the maneuvering and mooring of the yacht.
FY 920 is designed for long summer cruises, which are possible due to excellent driving performance. The standard version of the yacht is equipped with two engines MTU 12V for 1948 hp, where the maximum speed is 26.5 knots, with a power reserve of 360 miles at a speed of 23 knots. Optionally, there are two more versions of engines for 2217 hp. and 2435 hp, which will provide a maximum of 28 and 30 knots, respectively. The wheelhouse is equipped with touch-screen monitors, which can display not only navigation data, but also complete control of all boat systems without leaving the control post. Like the other yachts Ferretti Yachts, they are interchangeable and can be customized to the specific preferences of the captain. Ferretti Yachts also took care of the comfort of passengers: the yacht does not feel vibrations, and the noise of the engines is barely audible even at a fairly high speed.
Smooth turns are provided due to the correct distribution of the center of gravity of the superstructure of the new lightweight composites. Stabilizers Zero Speed FINS for comfortable parking in the marina or during maritime transitions and Seakeeper - for smooth transitions - are available as an option.
